Privacy Policy
Effective July 11, 2026
This page explains what data worthabroad collects, the cookies and third-party services it uses (including Google AdSense and privacy-friendly analytics), and the choices you have.
Who runs this site
worthabroad (https://worthabroad.com) is an independent reference on cross-border money between the US dollar and the Thai baht, published by the worthabroad editorial team. You can reach us any time at our contact page.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or payment details through this site. The converter and budget tools run in your browser; the amounts you type are not sent to us or stored on our servers.
Like most websites, our hosting and the third-party services below automatically receive standard technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, device, referring page, and the pages you view. This is used to operate the site, keep it secure, and understand aggregate traffic.
Cookies & advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: measuring aggregate traffic and, where enabled, serving ads.
Advertising (Google AdSense). We use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info (or youronlinechoices.eu in the EU).
- More about how Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that collects aggregate usage statistics without cookies and without tracking you across websites or building a personal profile. See Plausible's data policy.
Consent (EU, UK & California)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our advertising partners will ask for your consent before using cookies for personalized advertising, as required by law, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. If you are a California resident, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA; you can exercise applicable choices through the ad-settings links above.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you sign up for a service (for example a money-transfer provider or travel-insurance plan) through one of them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes the figures we publish or which option we recommend. Clicking an affiliate link may take you to a partner's site that sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or its service providers change. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
